I need help..I want to replace all vacuum lines on my 1985. Does anyone know the various sizes of the lines. Does anyone know the total length of each size required. Sure would make it easier

yes I understand, but as an example how much 3/32 line do i buy to completely replace all the 3/32 lines. buying a few feet at a time is a lot of trips to the parts store and a big waste of line and time

Vacuum Hoses

Sorry, I was just teasing you and didn't mean any harm. Please forgive me. As I have 4 different vehicles I keep about 10 feet of every size in stock so I'll always have it on hand. As my cars are all 1982 and earlier I keep 3/16". 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8". Your C4 is metric but American sizes of hose will usually work. Vacuum hoses are very inexpensive so I'd suggest buying 10 feet of each size. As every model of C4 is slightly different they all use different lengths of vacuum hoses so it's best to have extra.

The auto parts store I deal with only carries a few sizes of metric hose and that's for real small things like windshield washers and such. Sizes like 3 or 5 or 7 millimeter. But when it comes to the larger sizes the difference between American and millimeter is so close the hoses are interchangeable. Sizes such as:

A 3/16" hose will fit on a 5mm (.200")
A 1/4" hose will fit on a 6mm (.243")
A 5/16" hose will fit on a 8mm (.320)
A 3/8" hose will fit on a 10mm (.400")

I'm always needing hose for something so I keep 10 feet of each size on hand.
