when working the wisher pump i pinched a wire didn't see it fried the ground wire to the wiper motor smoked the ground wire. fixed that and everything works BUT the start part no power to the solenoid! put in a new ignition switch same thing i replaced fuse link at starter, check all fuse all good in fuse box. i have been looking at a wiring diagram and the car for about 3 weeks and i give up and ready to junk the car!!!

Check the wiring connections on the firewall on the drivers side. I had a broken wire that caused the same issue years ago. wire was broken in the terminal. It looked like it was connected but it wasn't making contact
