As far as I know you're the only member who owns a Collector's Edition so none of us know anything about the rear-opening window. But I have found Corvette Central has a fantastic inventory so you might try calling them at (800) 345-4122

 

toobrokes right, the CE is the only model with the hatch window.. the damn things were trouble..plagued with hinge and latch problems as well as leaking issues.. the hinges may be hard to find..

 

Hey, I got one of them things!
The hinges are a pain, true. I have a set of hinges made by Steve Simpson, cube studio, in the Dallas area. As the hinges age they elongate causing the hatch to hang up in the rear of the latch. Temp repair you can try to compress the hinge body to near the original shape with a vice, but you take a chance of breaking it.

 

I ve been told, can t verify it, but if you make a rubber stop at the rear edge of the glass, it relieves the strain on the hinges in the down position.. the glass pulls rearward on them, and opens the hinges..

 

bpassmore - How are the hinges by Steve Simpson, cube studio working for you? I already contacted him, I just wanted to hear a little positive feedback before I took the plunge.

 

I have not installed them yet, they are a quality product. They do not look exactly as the originals, but they are more robust. I don't think they will stretch. They are pretty pricy!

 

Simpson hinges

I have the Simpson hinges installed on my CE. Put them on a couple of years ago followed the instructions he has online. I put a new seal and struts and they work great!

 

Can you please provide contact info on Steve Simpson? I need to to order hinges as well.
