I tried starting my '07 C6 this morning and couldn't get the car to start? Inside when I get into the car it seems normal, the green light for the starter switch is lite, only thing, is when I press it all goes dead? The engine light is on and the horn has gone off a few times. I checked the battery connections and they seem to be on there pretty tight. If you wait a few minutes after attempting to start the car the green light will come back on. But when you try to start I get the same results. Any sort of help would be appreciated.

Again its a 2007 C6 6 speed.

thank you for any sort of help you might be able to provide me with.

If the battery isn't dead it could be a dirty connection. But it sounds like the battery doesn't have enough juice to start it. Lights and horn don't take that much to operate. Starting takes a lot. Make sure cables are tight on the other ends Hope that helps.

Check to see if your interior light button to the left of the steering wheel might have been accidentally pushed and you left the interior lights on. Then remove the battery being careful to not screw up either terminal. Take it to your nearest AutoZone, O'Reilly's, NAPA, Sears, AutoPartsWarehouse, AdvanceAutoParts, or TwoGuys, etc. and have it stress tested. If you have the battery with you it can be turned in so they don't charge a "core charge" if you need a new battery.

Replace the #41 power train control relay that is located in the fuse box under the hood. It is a $45 part. I was have the same problem and after replacing the relay 3 years ago I have not had the problem again.
