Have you checked the main fuse panel? After dbl checking i found that the hatch is controled by #5 circut breaker there and NOT behind the cluster. The interior lights, depending on which ones, are on seperate fuses there as well. The main fuse panel is on the very end of the dash as i posted before. I am sorry about the confusion.
The only fuses behind that cluster are for the anti-theft and ??? i don't remember the other. It is only a back-up fuse panel of 2 fuses and a breaker next to the emergancy flasher and a control module. You shouldn't have to go to it for the problems you describe. You need to check the main panel at the right edge of the dash. Open the passenger door and it's cover will be revealed on the side of the dash. If those fuses are all in tact then you need to look for the relays which are placed in various areas.
