I think that is one of them that is hidden behind the information center (switches and read-outs above the stereo). But you might have blown the relay which is hidden under the rear compartment cover. If you feel around under the rolled-up cover around the latch mechanism there is a loose uncoated wire you can pull on to open the hatch and give you better access to work on the relay. It is a back-up to allow opening. It takes a pair of pliers to pull it hard enough.
The interior lights are covered by a fuse in the main panel. It is hidden under a cover at the very edge of the dash on the passenger side, only visable when the pass. door is open.

If it is in this location you have to remove the fasica over the DIC / radio /A/c controls area then remove the DIC to access the stuff behind.

Open the passenger side door. Look at the very end of the dash that was hidden by the door. You will notice a semi-oval shaped door with slits in it. Carefully turn the screw holding that door a half turn. Pull off the cover. you will see the main fuse panel there.
From here on you need a manual and/or some experience.

Have you checked the main fuse panel? After dbl checking i found that the hatch is controled by #5 circut breaker there and NOT behind the cluster. The interior lights, depending on which ones, are on seperate fuses there as well. The main fuse panel is on the very end of the dash as i posted before. I am sorry about the confusion.
The only fuses behind that cluster are for the anti-theft and ??? i don't remember the other. It is only a back-up fuse panel of 2 fuses and a breaker next to the emergancy flasher and a control module. You shouldn't have to go to it for the problems you describe. You need to check the main panel at the right edge of the dash. Open the passenger door and it's cover will be revealed on the side of the dash. If those fuses are all in tact then you need to look for the relays which are placed in various areas.

There might be a good reason the site was taken down? As far as i know there is no "dimmer module" on any C4. The led dash ones have a built in light sensor that controls the gauge cluster back lighting. The interior lights are dimmed by a reostat built into the head-light switch.

Mine is a '95 so maybe it's just newer C4s, but the backside of the fuse panel door that you remove to access the fuses should have a label telling you what each fuse is. Is that all C4s or just newer ones?
