Ok, searches haven't turned up this particular problem, so here goes...

1987 C4. Some time ago, I completely disassembled the entire digital cluster, cleaned all connections within the digital dash cluster, added a new dedicated ground to it, and replaced all the bulbs. It worked fine for a few years, and worked fine when I last drove the car six months ago. Then the car sat for about 6 months. Looking things over before firing it up, I discovered one rat chewed spark plug wire, and just a little insulation chewed off the egr tube. I fixed all that, and figured "Whew!" "I got back to her before more serious damage had been done!"

But!! While she starts and runs fine, the digital dash has gone nuts!! All the gauge indications flash and fluctuate wildly as soon as you turn the key on, as well as after you start it. I have searched for any further wiring damage, and can find none.

HELP!!??!!

Thanks,
Vettebob

Wow, not a single response on a subject that every single person that's ever touched a C4 Vette has encountered in one form or another???

I'm really bummed/disappointed.
