I was thinking about doing a vid on how to put it on. And then showing how the guys bend the metal and welding it on. But I might chicken out and feel to stupid to ask them LOL

The worst part of installing sidepipes is taking all the old exhaust off. A sawzall makes that a snap.

The headers on my 77 are too long- the PO put Patriot sidepipes on it- the route from the headers to the pipes is fugly. A U-turn and a 90*. Not pretty at all.

yep, thats what I was saying earlier..they do make a short header that turns out for side exhaust, but thats adding more cost.. on a stock motor I doubt that "P" looking pipe hurts performance much ,tho...and you re saving some weight by removing stock exhaust

I just had a flash on how to get rid of that ugly u-turn and 90* pipe thing. I'll get a collector extension, cap it and then pop a short pipe out the side that lines up with the inlet on the sidepipe.. Not really an efficient exhaust setup, but it'll look better than that leaking mess that's under there now. :woowoo:

And be cheaper than tossing them in the trash and running full 2-1/2's out the back..

Well I got them in yesterday :woowoo:
One of the header pipes has a small dent but you shouldn't be able to see it. The Chrome doesn't look to bad even though there are already a couple scratches (arghh) But it's not to noticable. I could have them exchange them but they don't have any instock right now and they didn't know when they would get anymore in. Or I could take a $30 refund. So I'm taking the refund. I'll be sure to take pics and try to get a vid of it.
