I live in the mountains at the 2000 foot elevation and when I moved here 25 years ago there were a LOT of insects. At night my porch light became surrounded with flying insects within seconds of turning it on.
Now I hardly see any insects other than ants and I wonder where they have gone. And almost all of the bats and small birds have vanished because without flying insects they have starved.
When I drive through farming country my windshield stays clean because insects have vanished from there too.
So where have all the insects gone? I think these are warning signs that we humans are destroying our planet.
