Hello Guys

I was just woundering what you guys all use to detail your engine compartment for a car show? I have used purple power and gunk and they both left a film all over my motor plz if someone could help me out i would be greatfull

Personally I use Wesley's tire cleaner. Engine slightly warmed up, spray everything, let sit for a minute or two, start engine, hit with pressure washer (keeping a good foot and a half to two feet back) plus a good amount of common sense.


Never had an issue with this, and it makes everything look factory new as apposed to all shinny and such....

The 1st time I did it, i used GUNK to get the oil and grease off. Then I used one of those foaming tire cleaners that leave a shine behind. Its soooo easy and looks pretty darn good too. atriot:

I have good luck using a spray can of brake cleaner to clean, then a foamy tire cleaner for a shine.

If i wanna do a cleaning, I use SCRUBBING BUBBLES to clean it up now instead of GUNK. Again, the foaming tire cleaner for the shine.

:welcometoourcl sandpaper and hard work will make that baby shine.Don't use Super Clean on polished aluminum though..It will eat away the shine.Sorry I can't post pictures but the web site will not let me
