The OEM is a paper element. I wouldn't recommend washing it. Pur-o-later has a nice carbon impregnated replacement filter for not too much money that I'm very happy with.

RockAuto.com has cabin filters for $9 and change. Look under Heat&Air Conditioning.

Just changed mine, dealer wanted $51 for the OEM, and I got mine at one of the local auto care places for $21....I opted for a better one, but could have gotten a different one for around $11.

Is there really that much difference between quality of filters?
