The center console gets warm on long drives. Are there other options besides removing the interior and installing dynomat under the carpet? Wondering if you insulate the under side instead. Might be easier. Has anyone tried?

There is a shield that goes below it and stops exhaust heat and other heat from rising up! you can buy and it helps out alot!!! easy to install and really helps.

I have the reinforced tunnel plate with thermal abs on mine and definitely notice a heat reduction. I put it on when I did the exhaust.

I notice the heat reduction much more than the stiffness people speak of when adding a tunnel plate.

I have the same thing. Increases the time it takes to get warm, but doesn't totally solve the problem.

It cut down on my roof creaking, but I couldn't feel any difference.
