Can you yank the od internals and replace the T10-to-overdrive output shaft with a longer one that will go all the way through the tail end of the trans? Or can you somehow modify the overdrive unit (welding, pinning etc) to essentially turn it into a one piece unit in permanent direct drive that will work in both forward and reverse?

I feel this could be helpful for those who are having issues with their Doug Nash, like losing reverse. Repair parts can be expensive and a trans swap can be a headache. Yes you'd lose od but it is at least an option to help keep a vette on the road. Thanks for any input!
