Too late as I talked my way out of there. When I found out I would be staying for another 7 days I told the doctor I can give myself the injections. After pondering that he agreed to discharge me and within a couple of hours I was on my way home. His nurse gave me a crash course in giving injections and then faxed the necessary Rx's to my Rite Aid pharmacy. Wow is that stuff ever expensive as 14 pre-loaded syringes and a bottle of little pills cost almost $1100 (but my Medicare insurance picked up 90% of that).

A blood clot in the lungs is an extremely dangerous condition as if it were to break loose it would continue on up and lodge in my brain; either giving me a stroke or killing me outright. So I'm supposed to take it REAL easy for the next few months. No fast or extended walking or anything else that increase my heart rate.

I would like to thank all of you for giving me such kind words. You're a great bunch of guys.
glad to hear from you :woowoo:
take 'er easy and get better ! :watching:
OK now Toobroke, you need to take it easy..so stay away from the hookers down on the boulevard for a few weeks ... no wild orgies up on the mountain. ..glad you are going to be OK buddy
Toobroke, glad to hear you are home. I don't know how you talked the doc into letting you go. Wishing you a smooth and painless recovery, and it's great that you're back. Prayers and peace.:thumbsup3:
glad you are back toobroke. Good deal...Sad thing is that if you cant raise your heart rate then you cant drive your vette, haha.
Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement guys. I feel perfectly normal so it was a shock to find I had such a dangerous condition going on inside pf me. As the clot can break loose and travel to my brain any time I have to be careful about doing anything that can raise my heart rate. If anything driving my Corvettes lowers my heart rate as it's so relaxing.
