Hi,

My tach is stuck at 2500 rpm when the engine is off. I was driving one day and this screaming noise started and the tach was spinning completely around the dial. I pulled over as soon as I could and disconnected the tach cable at the distributor. I drove home expecting to find a broken or shredded cable but it was fine. So I reconnected the cable, started it up and it's fine. Except it idles at 3500. Any ideas ?
