I had a problem with my radio when I bought the car. Now that I've got that sorted out and the radio is working, I've found that the driver's side front speaker has only loud static when the radio is on. the other 3 are fine. I pulled out the bad speaker for now.

Bad speaker or bad amp? I'll swap the front speakers around tomorrow to see if the problem follows the bad speaker, but thought I'd see if anyone has had this happen to them.

I am parting a 91 vette if you need a working front bose speaker assembly.

got same problem:staticy front driver side speaker

I also replaced my radio for newer model. get same noise. I was thinking it was because the radio(new one) was not a Bose. I have seen some ads about non-bose replacement speakers.
Could that be the reason for the static? please post if you find a fix:thumbsup3:

Mine is an '86 so not sure if they are completely compatible. Form factor is probably different but I'll keep that in mind. shoot me a PM with what you're asking for it and I'll let you know if I decided to go that route.
