New here, I have a 2008 Corvette that has a starting issue I'm hoping someone can help me with. When going to start the car it powers up like it should " all gauges operate" and says press brake to start. When you go to start it all power cuts off and just goes dead. 15-20 seconds later the power will come back on. It is an automatic and you can here the shift release when pressing the brake pedal and it is showing no codes. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

First thing you can check is the altenater. Get a multi-meter and while the car is running check voltage at your battery. If the voltage is bouncing all over its the alternator. If the voltage is steady but slowly dropping its the battery.

Replace the #41 Power train control module/relay that is located in the fuse box under the hood. I was having the same problem and I replaced the $45 part three years ago and I have not had the problem again. Nobody could tell me what the problem was being caused by and I ran into a comment stating to replace this small part.

Replace the #41 Power Control Relay located in the breaker box (fuse box) under the hood. It is a $45 dollar part. I had the same problem ; years ago, replaced the relay, never had another problem.
