Starter suggestions

I'm looking for a new starter for my '77. Chevy Big Block 350 V8 engine and I'm looking for a high torque mini starter that will work. Any suggestions? I've found some models on Jegs and Summit Racing, but I'm not sure if they are compatible with my engine. Thanks.

May I ask why you want to go to a "specialty" starter when an ordinary starter will work perfectly?
I'll ask the same question. Why a specialty mini starter? From your post, it would appear to those who do their own work that you might not have the experience or knowledge of engines to require a mini starter. Did you know that a 350 is actually a small block?

reduction gear starters work great
but
they are not reallt needed unless you are running a real high compression ratio
they are nice tho.. I have a Hi-Torque Mini on my stroker ... roller bearings, smooth ,quiet, powerful, lightweight.. good up to 15:1 compression ratios ... and it fits either smallblock or big block, small or large flywheel /flexplates as long as your block is drilled inline...also last longer
C5's have them stock
