just did the swap! Dana 36 w 2:59 gears to a Dana 44 with 3:73 gears. Since the speedo gear is electronic what do i need to do to correct the speedometer?!? This is on a 87 corvette. Its a 87 vette , dana 44 3.73, 700r4, and 315-35ZR17 tires in rear.

# 25513052 45 tooth driven gear
# 8642620 15 tooth drive gear
( tailshaft housing has to come off to install that )

and a 40 -45 tooth VSS (GM part # 25007224 or 25007308 )
Some have had success by rotating 180 degrees the 36 - 39 tooth VSS you have with the 2.59 gears

You'll really love the swap as I did. I have a 454" powered '71 with a TH700R4 and I just went to 3.70's about 3 months ago. Blistering acceleration to about 105 mph but still able to cruise at high speeds/low rpm's because of the 30% overdrive.
