Mr. Slayer is correct. I have had mine off on a couple of different occasions, and unless your year is different, they are just threaded on, easy. I have a friend who is an artist, and I had this funky idea that a hand carved shift knob would be super cool, but I cannot seem to get anybody with the ability passionate about it...

Whats your design idea?

Well, I live in Texas, so I was thinking some type of carved leather design, like you would find on a saddle or other horse tack, but I also thought about some kind of tribal design or even a skull and bones sorta thing. I was even going to let the artist have complete creative control. Hell, why not?
