Once started, the Q-Jet in my '76 runs well.
But it cranks a full 15 seconds when cold.
Starts well when hand squirt primed.
Tank, lines, carb filter are all OK.
New fuel pump.
Well plugs epoxy's.
Doesn't seem to be the accelerator pump, runs well at speed.
Runs well on a test stand.
I understand they removed an anti-evaporation additive from fuel as it is not required with closed-loop F.I.
Hard to believe all the fuel evaporated overnight!

I don’t think it would/could evaporate or even boil out that quickly.
There could still be a leak. I would remove the carb, place it on a bench with a clean white cloth under it. I would place it on a couple of studs with nuts under the throttle body to make it level, fill the fuel bowl and put a few drops of food coloring and let it sit overnight.
Check it in the morning. Good luck.

I would check to make sure your choke is engaged before your next start. Pull off the air cleaner and validate your flap is closed once you slightly press the pedal. I had this problem with my Carb and the choke was getting stuck open. I installed an electric choke to remove the problem. Hope that helps.
