I am looking for new front tires. Leaning toward Michelin PS2 or Super Sports. Also thinking about going up one size from 245/40-18 to 255/40-18. Runflats vs. non runflats? All help would be gratefully appreciated.:patriot:

I've ditched the runflats. IMO runflats are noisier and harder riding, but they provide a measure of safety. I know some w/o runflats carry a patch kit and inflater just in case. I don't carry anything. I've had two flats in the last 10 years and both happened at the same time (construction debris).

The PS2 is an excellent tire; I know less about the SS.

If you upsize the width, make sure the total diameter does not change much. Sometimes the aspect ratio has to go down to maintain the diameter. The ABS/TCS system is sensitive to diameter changes. Nothing may register at 40 mph, but it could trigger at 90 mph.

I agree, dump the runflats, you ll never go back ..the difference in ride and handling is very noticable.. get a small 12v air compressor and a repair kit
I've been looking at a lot of those 12v kits, what's your choice? I'm looking at getting a kit...will be taking some road trips this summer.
