Full Description of K&N 63-3081 AirCharger Intake Kit for 2014 2015 C7 Corvette Stingray:

While the 6.2L LT1 engine found in your C7 Chevy Corvette Stingray is certainly no slouch in stock trim, many owners are searching for a cold air intake to increase power. If you’re that owner, look no further than the K&N performance air intake system for C7 Chevy Corvette 6.2L models. The K&N air intake 63-3081 is expert-engineered and guaranteed to increase horsepower and torque. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter box system and accordion hose with a free-flowing, high-density polyethylene air intake tube to help minimize restriction, straighten, and increase airflow to the engine. More air, and less restriction, means more usable power throughout the engine’s RPM range.

A custom made carbon fiber top and bottom K&N air filter RP-5285 is fitted to the inlet of the K&N Air Intake System to provide excellent airflow rates as well as outstanding filtration efficiency. The filter is washable and reusable and can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings, depending on driving conditions. Additionally, the system incorporates a heat shield which helps to direct relatively cold air entering through the factory inlet into the K&N carbon fiber top and bottom performance air filter.

This intake produces notable horsepower and torque increases worthy of the all-new 6.2L LT1 V8 engine. On the dyno, when installed on a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette 6.2L, the K&N 63-3081 Performance Air Intake System produced an estimated 12.51 more horsepower at 4,998 rpm and 16.63 pound-feet of torque at 4,004 rpm. That’s a noticeable increase in power that can be taken advantage of when passing, merging onto a highway, or navigating the infamous corkscrew at Laguna Seca during a track day.

The K&N performance air intake system for 2014-2015 Chevy Corvette 6.2L models is an easy to install performance upgrade that can be installed in about 90 minutes or less using basic hand tools, and by following K&N’s simple step-by-step instructions. It maintains all necessary factory connections and does not require any additional modifications be made to the vehicle. K&N backs its 2014-2015 Chevy Corvette 6.2L air intake system with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty so owners can rest assured that their intake system can stand up to tough conditions.

If you're implying that we deceive and mislead customers or know of any wrongdoing by K&N you are incorrect. We post manufacturer data all the time and leave it up to the consumer to decide what to do. If K&N is deceptive and misleading then all of the others are too.

Any time a filter media is uh "less restrictive" than another media of equal area it means it'll also allow more dirt to pass thru and that's what you are failing to tell the customers. The whole purpose of an air filter is to filter the air and K&N's and the other brands of re-cleanable filters do a lousy job of stopping dirt from entering the engine and destroying the piston rings. That's why none of the manufacturers would ever consider using anything but a pleated paper filter of a given micron rating.................

Aftermarket intakes are pretty common these days. I haven't heard of any engine damage, even after long term use. Do you have data to back this up specifically on a wide scale as being a serious problem? I don't know if you have a nit to pick with us or K&N or the industry in general but we are not out to deceive or mislead anyone as I said before. Every aftermarket company on the planet sells and markets intakes the same way.
