I'm a new C5 owner from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I traded in my 1990 C4 last October for a 2004 convertible, spiral gray with red (!) interior. The car has 70,000 miles, but started life in Louisiana and then Texas, so it was likely driven year-round. I had it checked out by an excellent mechanic in town, who said the car had been well-maintained and could have passed for one with only 20,000 miles. I plan some suspension upgrades in the spring, specifically Z51 swaybars and C6 shocks, and also the fan controller kit from SacCityCorvettes for when our club is in parades.
Just to add my $.02 on the C7, I like all but the rear end, which I think is too busy.
