The biggest I like to go is 4.015" This will still leave you with a solid block. I have seen some take the LS2 to a 4.030" However my experience when boring the block for big bore sleeves is that the cast in factory sleeves will have very different thickness from sleeve to sleeve. This is due to slight core shift when they pour the aluminum around the sleeves.

At 4.015" we have made 850 to the wheels with no issue.

I wouldn't go more than 4.015 for any kind of boost or maybe 4.020 if it's going to be N/A. If you want cubes I recommend just getting it resleeved, just to be on the safe side. Factory liners are not as consistent as aftermarket ones.

I'm going to be building a 433ci w/ a resleeved 4.150 LS2. Depending on what sleeves you go with, you can go really big on the bore depending on your setup.
