I plan on doing a wide body later this summer. In the mean time can I get away with installing Z06 sway bars with stock C6 tires with out screwing up my suspension? Are the Z06 a direct bolt in?

Installing a bigger (stiffer) rear sway bar will loosen the car up (more oversteer). When you add rear grip with bigger tires that will increase understeer so you add a bigger sway bar to compensate.

As John noted, you will be far better off waiting until you have the Z06 wheels and tires on the car before you put the Z06 sway bars on the car. First, yes, they are a direct bolt on but as John noted, they will introduce a component of oversteer and you may find that the car is a little more sensative to steering input and while you can do it if you must you should take the time to really get used to the new handling characteristics of the car before you go throwing it around on-ramps.
