A while back i started a thread about thinking of buying roller rockers. Well tommorrow there going on. I wasn't sure on the correct push rod lenth but did my home work and the stock lenth is right. I purchaced 1 piece heat treated 5/16 rods designed just for roller cams/ lifters and rockers. I installed one as a test to make sure there was enough clearance for the covers and there is ! The other 15 are having a oil bath over night. Here is a pic of where im at right now.

looking good...should pick up a few ponies too....
I was thinking maybe 15-20, what do you think? The car ran great before I did this but either way I,m glad I did this as looking at the old rods and rockers there was wear showing. Fired it up this morning and sounds good! :woowoo: It,s a beautiful day here in Pa. so time to clean her up, put my tools away and off for a break in ride. :drool5:

I can see maybe 8-10 hp with 1.6 roller rockers but certainly not 15-20. And then any gain will be at 4000 rpm or better. The biggest gain by using roller rockers is the less friction they generate but at stock spring pressures there's very little friction.

yea, It wasn,t in my budget to buy more ponys LOL. just A few ponys cost plenty! Like I said, the car ran perfect before I did this and I really couldn,t tell any differance with the drive today BUT I parked the car with the average MPG at 24.4 Thats about 1.5 better than before. So just A few ponys and improved MPG made it all worth it.:thumbsup3:
