Greetings to all
I purchased axle-back mufflers and X-pipe from a 2011 ZR-1. Originally intended to have only the mufflers installed in my 2010, base, 6MN Coupe by having the shop mate these to the stock 2.5" LS3 X-pipe. I am contemplating installing both the mufflers and 3" ZR-1 X-pipe, mating same to either the 2.5" LS3 X-pipe or down pipes. Some have suggested adding the larger diameter X-pipe might add HP/torque, while others claim it might lose HP/torque.
I would greatly appreciate opinions.

the general rule of thumb is 2.5 inch til you pass 500+ horsepower.. but I doubt the 3 inch will hurt anything on a stock motor .. some people think you need back pressure for torque , that's a myth .. ever see a top fuel car with mufflers ?
