the L82 Emblem was OEM...I m pretty sure the L48 emblem is aftermarket only

I have a '75 and I have seen some vettes with l48 and l82 emblems. So what are the circumstances to which these were installed?

The L48's didn't have any hood emblems
I have a '75 and I have seen some vettes with l48 and l82 emblems. So what are the circumstances to which these were installed?
I think the factory started putting the L-82 emblems on in '78 eventhough the L-82 was a engine option at least as far back as '73.
