[MAIN 85]

HI GUYS
I had bought a targa hard top for my 85 vette the top came off an 86 vette the problem im haveing is the front mounting brackets arent lineing up the back ones are fine i need the body mount brackets off of the car to hopefully make it work has anyone eles have this problem ? if sohow did you make it work? i need help badly

Bad news....you bought the wrong top. The mounting brackets are different from 84-86E, you have the top to an 86L. Let me guess, the brackets are about 1½ inches too wide, right?

so my 86 that was made in 85 has a early top ?

Found a place that makes brackets for the targa top

HI Guys
I found a place that makes brackets to inter change for the targa tops I have an 85 vette and my top came off and 86 the holes are off about a 1/2 inch on each side i called melrose tops and they gave me a number to call for some brackets and trim they want a 170.00 bucks shipped i will have to save my money up to by them lol all is not lost I just learned a lesson
