What the Hell do you think assembles ALL engines? You think some robots attach the brackets, wiring, accessories, etc.? duh?

The dry sump motors are all assembled in the same place. LS3, LS7, LS9 and LSA

Hand built engines means that the engine is assembled by a single technician who attaches a placard to the engine with his name on it. As opposed to an engine that is assembled on an assembly line by many people. The purpose is that supposedly a single person will give more attention to detail and tolerances, especially if his name is on it. Is it a marketing ploy?.... Maybe, but I certainly wouldn't complain if my engine was built by the same guys building the LS7 and LS9. They seem to be doing a pretty good job.
