My 2000 Vette front turn signals need updating, the sockets that hold the bulbs need to be replaced. Does anyone know the part number for those sockets? Any recommended websites or autoparts stores to get them? Also want to replace my lenses.. the bumper lens inserts... I like the jwmotoring.com front corner lamps modded with the led strip... anyone have an opinion on these? What about using the led bulbs and the led "switchback" bulbs? Any advice will be appreciated!

Welcome to our site!

I just went through this. I replaced the stock front corner lenses with clear lenses and installed LEDs. I did it all from underneath the car. You must have the front end raised and you need to have a really good "touch" to get to the nuts and bolts. There is some really helpful information at http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-...-ultimate-diy-faq-thread-its-all-in-here.html under Post #3. I also replaced the DRLs at the same time with LEDs since I was down there. The LEDs require a heavy duty flashing unit (not stock) to avoid hyperflashing. Corvette Central has a wiring harness with the flashing unit that is easily installed under the steering column that takes care of this problem and also makes it easier to change the flashing unit should it go out in the future.
