I need to change the battery in the fob, but I can't figure out where it is. The car is an '08 if that matters. Can someone tell me how to get to the battery, and where to get a new one? Thanks.:doh:

The fob battery is inside the fob, most gm dealers have the battery in their parts department. The owners manuel shows how to replace the battery.

you can also go to a batteries plus store. They should have the battery and can help with the installation.

When you open the fob check the battery holder. GM had a problem with them coming unsoldered. They used lead free solder and it wouldn't hold. I had to resolder 2 of them from my '08 daily driver

I got the fob open and everything looked good. The soldering was fine. Now I just have to go get the battery. Thanks again.
