EVERETT, Wash. — A woman was killed in an Interstate 5 crash in Everett Friday afternoon.
The crash happened at 1:25 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 at milepost 189 near Everett Mall.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Mark Francis said witnesses described a white Chevy SUV or pickup with a canopy racing a Corvette before the crash.
The Corvette then crashed into a tree.
Troopers said the driver of the Corvette, 24-year-old Jourdan Bradley of Everett, died at the scene. A 31-year-old passenger, Phillip Chumley, was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
The driver’s father, Mark Bradley, said he was driving behind his daughter, helping to transport a leather couch to her new house in Everett.
“She was probably eight car lengths ahead of me. And all of a sudden, I just didn’t see her,” he said.
He said he saw some blue fiberglass debris in the road, but didn’t think anything of it until he arrived at the house and didn’t see her.
Bradley said he drove back and saw the wreck.
Witnesses told troopers the other vehicle stopped, backed up, looked at the scene and drove away.
Bradley believes that car may have cut off his daughter’s Corvette.
He and her friends told KIRO 7 Jourdan Bradley was an extremely cautious driver. She was a nurse, who frequently reminded friends to drive carefully.
“She was always telling me, dad, all these guys are always wanting to race me, because I’m in the Corvette.' And she would kind of laugh at it. She did not race her car. Her car was her baby,” he said.
Friends and family said she saved up money her whole life to buy this dream car. They said she would never risk damaging it.
“She was just the world’s biggest sweetheart. Everybody loved her. She just loved her job; loved life,” Bradley said.
Anyone with information on the crash or has seen the fleeing vehicle can call detectives at 360-654-1141.

2015 Z06 crash

First 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 Convertible Crashed

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is yet to go on sale but has already suffered its second crash, this time in its convertible bodystyle. This makes the latest crash, which took place on a wet highway near Jackson, Michigan, the first for the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible. The previous crash involved the coupe and occurred during Nürburgring testing.

According to onlookers, the 650-horsepower sports car spun while driving down the highway and came into contact with another car. Both cars then proceeded to slide into a wire fence which appears to have sliced its way through the Corvette like a hot knife through butter. Fortunately there were no serious injuries reported.

This particular Corvette Z06 Convertible is equipped with the car’s Z07 Performance Package and finished in the new Daytona Orange Sunrise paint scheme. It’s also wearing manufacturer plates so is likely to be a pre-production unit being used for final validation. As sad as it is to see it in this state, being a pre-production unit it was likely to end up in the crusher regardless.

Production of customer cars is expected to commence in the next month or two. Chevy has previously stated that deliveries of the 2015 Corvette Z06 will commence in early 2015.

Two teenage girls escaped death Sunday afternoon in their white C3 Corvette convertible after an 18-wheeler rolled over the classic sports car in Redmond, Oregon!

It definitely shows how tough the old Corvette was built.

Take a look at the photos, and you’ll have to wonder how the passenger was transported to St. Charles Redmond Hospital, where she was treated and then released.

The driver of the Corvette was carried to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend and was sedated with a nonlife-threatening injury.

The accident happened about 2:30 p.m. when a trucker from Northern California apparently didn’t notice traffic stopped at a red light and, despite slamming on his brakes and leaving skid marks on the pavement, literally ran over the passenger side of the Corvette before hitting the back of a Subaru Outback that then struck a Ford Ranger.

A passenger in the Subaru had to be carried to a local hospital.

Semi driver Santokh Samra, 31, of California was cited for careless driving, according to Officer Michael Maloney of the Redmond Police Department.

The injured girls were transported to the hospital by air helicopters that landed in the intersection of U.S. Highway 97 and Veterans Way after the accident that forced traffic to be detoured around the area for about four hours.

A man was hospitalized today after the Corvette he was driving rear-ended and became stuck beneath a box truck on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass.

The crash was reported at 11:10 p.m. Monday near Getty Center Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Firefighters pulled the Corvette from beneath the truck and took the driver, who was conscious throughout the rescue, to a hospital with non-life- threatening injuries, Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Berkery told a news photographer at the scene.

The crash shut down all but one southbound lane of the freeway, the photographer said.

: ACCIDENT, Chrome C7 Corvette Stingray Crashes into a Gas Station

Here’s a couple of things you don’t see every day — a Chrome C7 Corvette Stingray — and a wrecked Chrome C7 Corvette Stingray that crashed into one of those round barriers by some fuel pumps at a Shell Station.

I believe we’ve actually seen this Stingray before as it has been posted on social media numerous times. It’s hard to miss a Chrome Stingray. For the driver, it was the gas station’s fuel pumps that he just missed crashing into at this gas station in Marina Del Ray, California...

Eye witnesses say that before coming to rest against one of the barriers that protect the fuel pumps, the Chrome C7 Stingray reportedly crashed into several other cars.

The damage the Corvette took is pretty severe with the front of the car completely mangled and it looks like there was major damage inside the engine compartment.

It’s an accident that could have been much worse as the driver could have hit one of the fuel pumps directly, perhaps causing even a bigger specticle of a chome C7 Corvette Stingray on fire!

When two Corvettes line-up against each other on public streets, there is so much that can wrong. While most street races end with one winner and one loser, occasionally we get to witness what can really go wrong when cars are racing on streets that are not meant to handle that kind of speed.

Recently, we came across this video showing two C6 Corvettes racing on a highway. After the one-two-three, both Corvettes floor it and soon they are traveling at least 150 mph.

But there is a small rise on the highway these guys are racing on. The Z06 being filmed handles it okay, but the other Corvette gets squirrelly after the suspension recompresses and fishtails into a concrete divider before the screen goes black.

When the video resumes, we see the aftermath photos of a reported 800 hp Corvette burning on the highway.

About the only good news we can share is that the crashed Corvette had a roll-bar and 5-point racing harnesses which protected both occupants who walked away with just scratches and a bruised ego.

Fans of the Chevrolet Corvette may want to avert their eyes from the carnage that will befall this American classic.

The unfortunate incident supposedly happened last Sunday during the 2015 Good Guys Auto Show that was held in Del Mar Fairgrounds in California.

The driver of the C1 Corvette tried to show off by powersliding the car but, as with any showboat, the sheer power of the car seems to have overwhelmed the driver. He tried to correct his mistake but ultimately failed, damaging his car. And maybe his ego.

Adding insult to injury, a nearby pole also fell on the C1 Corvette.

the Blue Ridge Parkway is one of America’s greatest driving roads. Running along the spine of the Appalachian Mountains, the Parkway draws drivers from around the world who want to experience one of the best scenic roads known to mankind. The most famous section of the Blue Ridge is the Tail of the Dragon, a twisty route 11 miles in length with 311 curves. It is here that many photographers make a living snapping pictures of passing-by cars and motorcycles.

It was here on what is officially known as U.S. 129 that a member of the Corvette Forums was involved in a brutal Corvette-on-motorcycle accident that was captured in stunning detail by a on-the-spot photographer.

Two occupants of a dark green C4 Corvette were injured in a head-on collision with a pickup truck near Springfield, Tennessee on Sunday morning.

Cross Plains Fire Chief Tommy Jackson said the Corvette driver had to be Lifeflighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, while the passenger was transported via ambulance to Skyline Medical Center. The driver of the truck also was carried to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield via ambulance.

Smokey Barn News reports that the crash happened about 10 a.m. on Highway 49 East just outside of Springfield between Wilks Road and Owens Chapel Road.

The Corvette was apparently headed north towards Orlinda and the pickup was going southbound towards Springfield at the time of the collision.

The crash left the Corvette badly damaged, particularly on the passenger side from the ****pit forward.

Traffic was delayed while the scene was cleared, though one lane of Highway 49 remained open during most of the investigation.

The Cross Plains Fire Department, Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Robertson County EMS, Robertson County Emergency Management Agency and the Tennessee Highway Patrol all responded to the crash.
