The car is parked for the winter, would it make much difference to change the oil now or would it be better to wait till spring when the car will be driven again?
I agree with wayback: change it now and then avoid starting the car till spring; short start/stop cycles introduce moisture into the oil but don't get it hot enough to boil the water off.
Acids, water, and contaminants that accumulate in used oil will attack and etch your internals when allowed to sit undisturbed for long periods of rest, like winter.Better to change and let run till new oil is distributed and leave it alone till spring.
Changed mine in October :sm_party: I will change the oil again come spring time, after I run the car for a 100 miles or so.
