Replaced the purge tank and fixed one leak. Replaced the upper radiator hose and thought I had fixed the other. Looks like I have a hairline crack right above the upper outlet. How difficult is this to repair? Is the tank a composite plastic or metal?

stock rad is plastic tanks conected to a alum core

not sure if you can fix it
I went with alum rad
first a becool (lasted 8 years) and then a dewitts (current)
if I had to do it again , I'd go becool

New Radiator on the way

Ordered from 1800Radiator. $209 shipped to my house next day. Does anyone have any instructions on removal and installation of the radiator on a 99 C5 with automatic transmission? :1zhelp:

Radiator has to wait

Had everything ready to go to get the radiator out. Everything is loose but having trouble with the evaporator line. Gave up for the day due to inclement weather in the area. Can't get to the garage to work on the car after the tornado. C5 is fine but the rest of the house is in bad shape. Looks like my wife's Yukon XL will be totaled and the 99 Camaro isn't in too bad shape. Daughter's Honda Accord sustained damage. Family is SAFE and that is all that matters. Will get back to the radiator when the time feels right.
