I'm going to replace my automatic transmission with a TKO 500 manual transmission. I'm told that the standard 84' bell housing will stay. This means that I need to purchase a manual transmission bell housing. The earlier bell housing are much less expensive. Is there any reason not to ues a earlier bell housing?

You could put in a locking torque converter, but hook it up manually with a switch. Then it will be just like a manual shift. You just half to remember to unlock it when you shift up or down and go to stop.:thumbsup3:
