I just purchased a '66 coupe, 327/350 HP, 700R4. Prior to buying the car, we put it on a hoist and thoroughly inspected everything. All appeared normal and the car performed fine during the test drive with the exception of a hard pull to the left when braking (probably a caliper issue).

I picked it up today and on the thirty mile drive home I experienced all kinds of handling problems. During braking, acceleration; hitting bumps in the road; and trans shifts, the car would pitch and roll dramatically. It was all I could do to keep it on the road. The tires are BF Goodrich T/A radials, ten years old but look new. After arriving home, I checked the rag joint, and front suspension and found nothing amiss. I didn't push it at all - never went over 60 MPH.

Anyone have any ideas?
