I'm in desperate need of a latch assembly that is mounted in the top left side of the windshield molding. This latch, GM part # 15822763 holds the convertible top to the windshield.
As you can see it has two wires that have a green (on my 2012) plastic connector that connects to a wire harness. This is a discontinued part and I'm unable to find one. GM Parts locator at the Chev dealer shows none, eBay shows none, my last effort is to try and find a salvage yard that has a 2005 to 2012 C - 6 convertible. Since I don't know of any I'm reaching out to all of you for help.

I tried to connect the two wires and I get an error message that the top latch needs to be released even if it is. If I disconnect the wires the error message is the top is not secure. Now I have a problem with the electric door release, both inside and out buttons when pushed only click and the window drops to the index limit of about 1 inch. The manual release on the floor and in the trunk both work.
I hope someone can help me with this problem
