Need some help identifying a part. There is a drain plug?under the left linkage pin on the 9 bolt side plate. I don't know what it is. Does anyone out there know? My transmission guy plugged it with sealer and now it is leaking.

I Googled "Borg Warner Super T-10" to see what I could find out about them. From the pictures I have seen it appear some of them came with a 4th gear indicator switch that was screwed into the bottom of the 4th gear shift lever boss. The switch (I assume) had a button on it that was depressed when 4th gear was selected.
Yes I think that makes sense. I found a bone yard with a few T-10's in it and there was soemthing that looked like it could be a switch. Anyhow, its plugged now. Thanks,
Not knowing which year the car or the transmission is I would think it would be the 4th speed switch to operate the Trans mission Control Spark system an emission system component. If it is has a plug, the system is probably by passed, like most are.

that was GM s great idea to retard ign timing in high gear to reduce emissions..all it did was reduce power and MPG
