Hi gang...There's a piece of rubber strip where the dash meets the windshield, and mine is old and cracked. What is that piece called, and who sells it? I already know how to remo it. I just need to know what to tell a salesguy!!!

BTW...on a previous thread I mentioned a start, no start thing, among other gremlins. Battery was crap, not to mention it was 7 years old. It had 22% capacity in it. New Interstate battery cured all. Thanks to the 7 of you that replied.

ahh.. answered as I was typing, u should post the answer in that thread too for those searching with the same issue...

I was gonna replace my windshield because of a tiny ping a while back. But my windshield guy couldn't find that "windshield strip" ( I think it's called). Which btw, has to be replaced when windshield is removed because it's glued to it.... or so I've been told...

edit#3.. You should stop by a used car lot n ask if they have a good windshield guy. They come to you and are much cheaper, plus if anyone knows a work around or a how to, it will be them. Around here the usually from Mexico and do excellent work....

I've seen alot of c-4s including mine with this problem. I used permatex ultra black silicone and it turned out pertty nice. not perfect but you really have to look close to see the repair. I used one of those long straws with the scoop on the end you get with a shushy. use very small amounts and be careful not to get it on the dash or windsheild. Wipe the scoop clean before each pass. I also used this on cracked weather stripping and looks great but be careful as this stuff can be quite messy !
