I'm chasing a horrible belt squeal. I've changed the harmonic balancer both belts and the main tensioner. I'm thinking maybe the alternator clutch.

I don't think the alternator has a clutch. Probably the A/C clutch. Not sure about C6 but the C5s A/C ran off the bottom belt.

Took the alternator off that's the squeal. It does have a clutch that's the source. Easy repair, at least.

Hey great find, Kinda strange it did,t screw with the charging system.

It was strange, that's how I disregarded it in the beginning.
