"I don't feel my starter spins my engine very well, especially on hot starts and want to avoid being stranded. What do you guys recommend for a replacement starter"?

This is just another case of an aluminum block-to-frame ground cable being internally corroded and failing to pass enough current to crank the engine at its normal cranking speed. The oem cables were made from 2-gauge aluminum with crimped-on aluminum ring terminals and over time corrosion has formed inside the ring terminals. The solution is replacing the failing oem cable with an 18" 4-gauge copper cable with crimped-on copper ring terminals for less than $10 and available from any auto parts store. Hundreds of thousands of perfectly good starters have been replaced because of those lousy aluminum oem ground cables.
