:thumbsup3:Hi to all of you vette owners:
First time here at your Smokin Vette site.
Just turned 69 WOW even I cannot believe it Saturday March 5th. I am a confimed believer that ."""TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE"""
This 2004 millenium yellow C-5 Z-06 is my 8th vette in all of my years.
Still in society's work force at least for now.
The vettes I have had and wished that I had a
few of them today.

#1. 1965 1/2 396 cu.in. 425h.p. 4-spd convert.
#2. 1967 427 cu.in. 400h.p. 4-spd convert
#3. 1969 427 cu,in, 435h.p. 4-spd coupe
#4. 1976 350 cu.in. small block,auto T-top coupe
#5. 1979 350 cu.in. L-82, auto,T-top coupe
#6. 1984 350 cu.in (C-fire inj), T-top coupe
#7. 1990 350 cu.in. 6-spd convert
#8. 2004 345cu.in. 405+h.p. 6-spd coupe
I also had a hatchback 2004 Vette 6-spd
for a short time of ownership.
I have logged many many thousands of miles as being a corvette owner and loved every moment of it. Why I waited 14 years since my last I do not know, but I do know this that I am back and ***livin life in the fast line*** once again.
I hopoe to make new aquaintances as well as new friends on this Smokin Vette web site.
Have any of you installed the Callaway Honker Air
Intake system???
I am looking at a gear change in the very near
future( from the 3:42's to 3:73's) I think 3:90's or
4:10 is to steep of a change

I WELCOME ANY FEED BACK OR SUGGESTIONS YOU VETTE OWNERS MAY WISH TO SHARE.

Thanks

porchrd

Welcome to the site! I also had a C5 Z06, mine was an '03 though. I don't have any experience with the Honker but my advice for modding the car is that you get a nice pair of long tube headers such as Kooks or American Racing; they sound fantastic and are probably one of the best "bang-for-your-buck" mods out there, netting about 30HP tuned. The gears will give you a good "seat of your pants" acceleration gain but you'll also be cruising at a higher RPM on the highway, so if long cruises and fuel economy are a priority I'd stick to power mods.
Another thing I changed on my C5 was the shifter. I got a Hurst short throw and it felt a lot more precise than the stock unit (at the cost of a higher shifter effort of course).
