Just bought my 75 t-top and when adjusting the hood,I noticed a plate in the center of the hood where the grill is on the back of my hood. Naturally I had to see what it covered. After removing it, I found an electrically controlled solenoid hooked to a door like thingy. Anyone know what it does and what controls it?

It's for providing cool air to the carburetor under full throttle and is controlled by a switch that gets actuated by the throttle arm of the carburetor.
