Lug nuts???

I'm not sure this is even worth posting but will anyway. The chrome plating on the lug nuts on my wheels is chipped and just flaking off. I think this is from the countless times that I remove the wheels to clean behind.

Are there lug nuts out there that have a stronger coating of chrome that will prevent the finish from flacking so easy? Where can I get these?

I think they are called either Gorilla or Gator lug nuts, they are the popular aftermarket lug nuts.

Aren't they stainless steel?

If i am correct, the 1984 model had black lug nuts with a flat top, i have just replaced all of mine, they were $5 a peice and i tracked them down through Auto Value[ parts man]
They may have went to chrome in 85, not sure though.
