Default Steering Wheel Removal....How???

Actually, I want to remove the air bag assembly so I can have the horn cover refinished. Somehow, a cleaner must have reacted with the cover and it is now tacky....very sticky. I have tried everything I can think of and nothing has helped. I want to revove it so I can have someone try to restore....or replace the cover.

Silver,

The service manual dedicates two full pages to JUST the air bag disabling. That's before you even GET to removing it.

This is not a job to be taken lightly. It requires the correct documentation and procedures.

hth,

Jim

I will pull it myself....actually, I received the full R&R info, with pictures, on another forum. Obviously, one needs to be careful and follow the correct sequence of steps; but, it is a pretty straight-foreward procedure.
