I don't know how much work is involved ,but that is an excellent idea for your vette. You can pickup a TPI setup for relatively cheap. The Camaros used the TPI as well. They used a 305 but I think the IROC had the same size heads as the vette.

Its easier to go to an LT1 engine altogether. Much better fuel injection and more power to being with. TPI is very lacking so I would not bother with it if you dont already have it.

im sort of on a budget so a whole engine wouldnt be ideal. i was just reading up a little more and most sites say that the throttle body injection works just as well and is a lot cheaper to do... any opinions on that? thanks for any feedback.

I guess it really just depends on what you are after. Are you trying to go fast or just trying to put efi on for a project? The tpi runners are an obstacle. With some work to them and a decent throttle body you could get a high 12 capable setup.

well what im really after is reliability. i just think fuel injection is the way to go... im leaning more towards TBI now, everywhere ive gone says it just as good as TPI, easier to convert, and cheaper!

The TPI is the easiest one to install in to your car, use the 1990 and up with the MAP senser, If you buy the painless wiring harness its a 3 wire hook up and you have to install and electric fuel pump with a return line back the the fuel tank. Can be done in a weekend.Very easy to do we have done 12 cars with this system over the last 10 years and every one loves it.

Hello The 1988 TPI will work great, but like i said use the Painless wiring harness. This is the website. http://www.painlessperformance.com/w...rchField=60103,
It does not use the computer from the 88 corvette.
In the paper work you get with the harness it will give you a part number for the computer you need. This is so you can use a map sensor instead of the stock mass air flow meter this makes it very easy to install, Check out there site.
