how to run drivebelt after removal of smog pump

hi guys, new here and need to remove my smog pump as its not needed or connected as headers have been installed.( no need for emission stuff here in New Zealand) what i need to know is how to run the new, shorter drive belt now there is no pump.1990 c4 l98. thanks, any helpful info will be appreciated.

You don't need A/c in NZ ,just take the targa off Ditch the A/c compressor as well and you won't need the air pump eliminator , just make a adjustable brace for the Alt like on old Holdens and Falcons to adjust the belt tension Gives lots of room to work on the front of the engine
