Default 2009 Z06 Dead battery jump question

The battery is dead. To make life easy, I wanna jump it from the battery in the trunk. It says right on it to jump it from under the hood? Does anyone know if it really matters if I do it from there.

Actually I was just thinking let it charge for a few minutes then unhook it and give it a start. I guess you are referring to the gas tank being close by.

Ok. I put a charger on it. It is outside with hatch open. Should I charge from under the hood or charge thru the trunk?

doesn't matter
I rigged an old cigarette adapter so I don't need to even open the hood
