Connecting radar detector to mirror wiring

2012 Grand Sport
I bought a new Beltronics radar detector and a small harness that connects the detector to the wiring on the rear view mirror. I bought the special harness from Corvette Mods. There are no instructions with the wiring harness, and there are about 10 wires on the connector on the mirror. The harness has a red wire and green wire which don't match any of the wires on the mirror harness. Can anyone tell me which wires will allow me to turn the detector on and off with the key. I believe the harness on the mirror just plugs into the mirror, so I should be able to disconnect it to connect my detector harness. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

did you call beltronics or corvette mods ?

I hooked one up in my GS a month ago red is the hot wire and green ground,try and find a red or pink wire to plug in next to,make sure it is in and secure,I couldn't find a switched wire but the power in the cab goes off anyway in about three minutes, the green should be pushed in next to another green or black. Make sure to use zip ties to pull in slack incase your suction cups fail if you have them .I made a mirror mount for my 8500x50 Escort like this.
